Beth & Lawrence's bachelor/bachelorette party weekend in Sin City
032208. In April they'll become The FONG's, so we had to go out and do a little pre-celebration. Never gals who leave the boys behind, it was a group effort to send these two from single-hood. Pictured here is most of our group... 25 of us took on the strip.
Thanks to Mr. Urban, 7 of us had a killer limo truck thing waiting for us when we landed in Vegas:
We took these huge limo's everywhere. They all had one or two stripper poles, which the fella's took on to entertain us during the ride -- Beth's brother is putting on a show here:
Saturday Nite... on our way to the Bellagio Buffet (yum).
Quick LA Tri Club Board pic... Riptide Ray, Lawrence, me & Gerardo:
Studio 54. We danced, danced, danced ... There were guy and girl go-go dancers surrounding the dance floor and ladies over the dance floor who put on air shows. It was a pretty rad club, as far as mega-clubs go. Everyone went big. Pictured below are me, Jeff, Jamie, Anna and Lawrence.
Bachelorette Beth with Anna, mugging for the camera.
Group pic at Studio 54. Yep, the cameras came out & we've got some very funny shots.
This was an awesome get-away weekend. Everyone got very little sleep, danced until their feet hurt, ate great food, wonderful group chemistry, rested by the pool, and bonded with the FONG circle of friends and family. Times not to be forgotten. Dear friends. Looking forward to the wedding, and many more celebrations!!!

Pasadena Triathlon 2008
030808. Kicking the season off locally is GenericEvents.com 's Pasadena Triathlon. It's a reverse sprint beginning with one loop around the rose bowl, three on the bike rolling and ending with three laps in a nice warm pool.
There have been questions lately about if Paul or I "ever race" (shocking question!), and so I begin with this pre-race foto, in transition, before we headed off to the run start. Yep, we race & we race hard! ; )
Larry Turkhiemer, one of the club's founders, volunteered his time at this race... pictured here giving his wife a pre-race rub-down. That rub must have been verryyy good, because Laurie kicked BUTT on the run, beating both Paul and I!
Ladies of sporteve.com -- ready to rock the course:
Jordan Woods took top honors at the event - a first place overall. (yeah, he's fast)... His metal was presented by none-other than pro triathlete, Cam Widoff, who is in town from CO, training for a few weeks (he's doing winter training here in LA).
Lynn and Tim Sommer -- This was their first triathlon & can you tell? They LOVED it. I feel there will more outings in their future. Congratulations guys!!
And, here I am with a star in the LA Tri Club... Miss. Emily Berkin. First in her age group, and likely future pro! We'll see!! Way to go Emily!!
Looking forward to beginning next season in Pasadena '09!

Showing a little love for Each Other, and The Club!
Dr. Lawrence Fong and his honey, Beth Kallok, gave a nod to The Club in their engagement photos. Gotta love their spirit (and, if you know these two, you'd love them too!).
I'm looking forward to the little pre-ceremony celebration in Vegas, and then the wedding in Palos Verdes. Do you think they'll wear red-white & blue at the wedding? Or, maybe decorate the reception in LATC? Hummm. Photos, surly, to come.
Triathete Magazine even gave these two a mention.
Dr. Fong is my magic man... my CHIROPRACTOR, people.
You need a crack? Get in touch with him today!

Congratulations on the love stuff, and the pending nuptuals!

Meeting Mason Lombardi
030108. Over the weekend I met little Mason Lombardi for the first time. The first beautiful baby for Amy & James, who are living in Glendale, Arizona. He was only born Jan 2, so he's a very little guy... and, we took him on his first hike. I'm sure there will be many hikes (and triathlons, and football games) in his future. Everyone is doing great! Click for more pics.
Paul Karasick is Officially Famous!
030208. Soooo, on Sunday night Paul took his beautiful wife, Jeanette, and a group of friends out for eats (Belmont & Area)... and, they passed paths with none other than Mr. Colin Farrell (who was no doubt there to wish Jeanette Happy Birthday)... But, as Colin avoided the lens, Paul took center stage, as you can see here, and made National News on TMZ.com. Excellent work Karasick! The back of your head is beautiful! ; )
Showing off my Niece and Nephew
030308. My sister-in-law, Stina, sent out this message yesterday:
"This morning before I got into the shower I asked Merete to keep an eye on Finn. When I was finished, this is how I discovered them. Aren't they just too cute?"
Answer: HELL YES... they are THE BEST and CUTEST EVER!
